Community Impact

Where it Started for Us

In 2006, the Quigley family started doing international service trips – the first to Guatemala to build a playground.

Six years later, we worked together to start our nonprofit, Hope’s In, which works locally in Chicago and Florida, and internationally in the Guatemala City garbage dump communities.

Currently, we make monthly contributions to Hope’s In’s development and programs, serve on its board, and bring families down – sometimes clients – to Guatemala City every year.

We are particularly excited about Hope’s In’s new programs directed toward young moms and individuals with disabilities.

Hope’s In

Hope’s In is dedicated to impacting and empowering the Guatemala City garbage dump communities and developing the next generation of humanitarian leaders. The main focus of Hope’s In is to provide hope, empowerment and the goal of bringing purpose into people’s lives both abroad and here in the United States through serving others. Their impact in Guatemala City is focused on projects such as building homes, hosting medical clinics, and providing sports camps in the garbage dump communities. The Quigley family founded the organization in 2012 and remain active members of the organization’s leadership.

Jim Quigley was selected as the 2018 Invest in Others Global Impact Award winner for his charitable work with Hope’s In. Invest in Others is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting and empowering financial advisors who give back to their communities.

Rotary

Jim has supported Rotary since 2012. While a member of the Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club, he focused his effort on the Rotary high school service club called Interact. The Interact Club encourages students to identify their personal service interest and develop projects to make a difference. Rotary International is an international service organization whose purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world.

Kids Around the World, Inc.

The Quigley family has traveled with Kids Around the world since 2006 and has built 10 playgrounds in various 3rd world countries. Recognizing that children are truly the greatest resource in the world, Kids Around The World exists to reach children and to help those who work with children. Kids Around the World, Inc. (KIDS) is a faith-based 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping children and families who have been affected by war, poverty, illness, and natural disasters. So often children find themselves as victims of situations out of their control, they become victims of economic stress, victims of political injustice, victims of natural disasters and worst of all, victims of war. It was for these children that Kids Around the World began.
